Grass is Dead: Salty Strings + Jackson Gillies

Jackson Gillies will be sitting in with members of Salty Strings for an evening of acoustic Bluegrass and Grateful Dead at the legendary Rancho La Patera & Stow House. Come out for a night of pickin’, grinnin’, and good ol’ Grateful Dead tunes gone grass.

From Salty Strings: We had such a great time playing at the Rancho La Patera & Stow House last year that we knew we had to come back—and this time, we wanted to elevate the experience the best way we knew how: our very first Grass is Dead set featuring the remarkable Jackson Gillies on electric guitar.

For many of us, Jerry Garcia was our gateway to bluegrass. His collaborations with David Grisman and Tony Rice, along with Old & in the Way, were the soundtracks of our childhood. We grew up on the Grateful Dead and revisit their catalogue whenever we can. The time is nigh.

But that’s not all—we’re also welcoming the prodigious Lacy Shifflette on fiddle to the Salty Strings family for the very first time.
