Joshua Tree and the surrounding High Desert offer a diverse range of music venues, each with its own unique character and charm. From intimate desert saloons to expansive outdoor amphitheaters, here are some standout venues worth exploring:

Pappy & Harriet’s Pioneertown Palace, a storied high desert venue, has hosted everyone from local talent to surprise shows by Paul McCartney and Robert Plant. Located in nearby Pioneertown, it offers exceptional BBQ, strong drinks, and an authentic Western atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor performance spaces. Next door is the Red Dog Saloon which is now open 7 days a week.

The Joshua Tree Saloon is a community staple in the heart of downtown Jtree, featuring live music several nights a week. For the most part it showcases local acts, ranging from rock to country to blues. Its laid-back atmosphere and spacious patio make it a favorite among locals and visitors alike.

Joshua Tree Lake RV & Campground is home to the biannual Joshua Tree Music Festival, which happens in May and October, drawing attendees from several states to see internationally touring talent, offering a unique outdoor concert experience under desert skies.

Mojave Gold, Spaghetti Western Saloon, Mas o Menos, Frontier Cafe, and other local spots have been doing more music events too. Keep an eye on this page for more ideas of places to check out in Joshua Tree…
