Vinyl Williams and Magic Fig are bringing their mesmerizing psychedelic sounds to Gold Diggers for what promises to be an unforgettable evening of sonic exploration. This intimate venue offers the perfect setting to experience Williams’ dreamy, kaleidoscopic compositions alongside Magic Fig’s lush, atmospheric arrangements.
Magic Fig is a San Francisco psych-pop group composed of Inna Showalter (vocals, mellotron), Jon Chaney (keyboards, piano), Muzzy Moskowitz (guitar), Matthew Ferrara (bass), and Taylor Giffin (drums, percussion). All arrive from varying musical projects across the always-vibrant San Francisco scene (The Umbrellas, Healing Potpourri, Whitney’s Playland, Almond Joy). Magic Fig’s self-titled debut EP (Silver Current Records, 2024) took the listener through secret worlds and strange but oddly familiar terrains. Their new full-length LP “Valerian Tea” builds from a swirling mass of instrumentation including piano, synthesizers, glockenspiel, organ, and 12-string acoustic and electric guitars. Joel Robinow (Once and Future Band), having produced the band’s first album, engaged in the collaborative process again during the creation of “Valerian Tea.” The album, brought to life in a patient, drawn-out process, sees the band dive even further into their lush and layered sound. “Valerian Tea” releases November 21, 2025, via Exploding in Sound Records.
Tiny Music takes all of the smallest instruments, sounds and ideas possible and turns them into harmonically rich mini odysseys. The tunes are informed by minimal synth and jazz, inflected with whimsy and a profound feeling of confusion
Attendees can expect an immersive journey through expansive soundscapes and hypnotic rhythms. Don’t miss this opportunity to witness these visionary performers in such a close-quarters environment where their intricate musical textures and transportive visual elements can be fully appreciated.
