JJ Smith & the HELM is a Southern California–based five-piece band delivering a crowd-friendly blend of classic rock, blues, folk, and Americana with soulful originals and familiar favorites. Whether it’s a slow-burning blues number, a high-energy rock anthem, or a heartfelt folk tune, the band brings a dynamic, feel-good energy that keeps audiences locked in from the first note to the last.

On Thursday, September 3rd, JJ Smith and the HELM are heading back to Ivan’z House — hands down the premier music hall in Orange County. Tucked one floor beneath the rooftop lounge at Mozambique in Laguna Beach, Ivan’z House delivers an incredible live music experience with top-of-the-line staging and sound, a full bar, and access to Mozambique’s award-winning dining menu. If you were at the last show, you already know — it was an absolute RAMBLE, and we’re ready to bring that energy back to Laguna in a big way.

Expect a stacked setlist featuring all of our originals alongside covers spanning the Allman Brothers, the Doors, Pink Floyd, the Grateful Dead, Goose, Phish, John Prine, the Rolling Stones, and a few brand new ones. It’s going to be a night of deep grooves, big jams, and plenty of surprises.

Dining reservations include your ticket to the show, so grab a table and make a full evening out of it. If you just want to come for the music, standing general admission is available for just $10. Either way, get there early. Doors are at 6pm with the show starting at 7:30.
