Shintaro Sakamoto with Thee Heart Tones

Japanese psych pioneer Shintaro Sakamoto kicks off a brief West Coast run at the Fonda in Los Angeles this October, before heading down to the Observatory in San Diego, then up to Portland, Seattle, and then Brooklyn for a show with Habibi and El Michels Affair, followed by a night in Mexico City.

Accompanying for the Southern California shows is Chicano soul group Thee Heart Tones from Hawthorne, fronted by lead singer Jazmine Alvarado.
