Rocco DeLuca Ensemble

Rocco DeLuca is a California-based folk, soul, and blues musician known for his haunting voice, evocative songwriting, and masterful work on resonator and steel guitars. Rising to prominence as frontman of Rocco DeLuca and the Burden, he released the acclaimed albums I Trust You to Kill Me (2006) and Mercy (2009), the latter produced by Daniel Lanois. Since 2009, DeLuca has pursued a solo career defined by raw, intimate performances and daring collaborations. His solo works—Drugs ’N Hymns (2012), the self-titled Rocco DeLuca (2014), and Goodbye to Language (2016, with Lanois)—earned praise for their stripped-down intensity and compositional vision, with Uncut Magazine naming Goodbye to Language one of 2016’s best.

A magnetic performer, DeLuca has shared stages with legends including John Lee Hooker, Taj Mahal, and Johnny Cash, and collaborated with artists such as Slash, Robbie Robertson, Leonard Cohen, D’Angelo, and Lanois. His work extends into film and gaming, contributing original songs to Red Dead Redemption 2, Fox Studio’s 21 Days Under the Sky, and Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon soundtrack. Whether fronting a band or performing solo, DeLuca channels raw emotion into sound, affirming his place as a contemporary troubadour whose music is equal parts soul-baring and transcendent.
