Kitchen Dwellers – Night Two

Sat, February 21st, 2026 @ 9:30 pm 11:30 pm

Kitchen Dwellers, the Montana-based quartet, have carved a unique niche in the modern bluegrass landscape with their distinctive blend of folk traditions and psychedelic innovation. Comprised of Shawn Swain on mandolin, Torrin Daniels on banjo, Joe Funk on upright bass, and Max Davies on acoustic guitar, the band has developed a sound they affectionately term “galaxy grass” – an approach that honors bluegrass roots while fearlessly exploring new sonic territories.

Since forming in 2010, Kitchen Dwellers have built a devoted following through relentless touring and their reputation for electrifying live performances. Their musical journey has taken them from humble beginnings in Bozeman, Montana, to prestigious venues across the country, sharing stages with genre luminaries like Railroad Earth, Twiddle, and Greensky Bluegrass.

The band’s evolution can be traced through their studio releases, each showcasing increasingly ambitious songwriting and instrumental prowess. Their 2017 album “Ghost In The Bottle,” produced by Leftover Salmon’s Andy Thorn, marked a significant milestone, followed by 2019’s “Muir Maid” and 2022’s acclaimed “Wise River,” which further established their reputation for pushing genre boundaries while maintaining authenticity.

Known for their technical virtuosity and improvisational chemistry, Kitchen Dwellers create a musical experience that resonates with traditional bluegrass enthusiasts while attracting fans from jam band, rock, and alternative music circles. Their latest project represents their most cohesive and conceptually daring work to date, demonstrating the band’s continuing artistic growth and willingness to explore profound thematic territory.
