Celebrated singer/songwriter and long-time former guitarist for Mike Campbell’s Dirty Knobs, Jason Sinay, who has played and/or recorder with Keith Richards, Neil Young, Bob Weir, Jackson Brown and many others — will release his ambitious new double album The Mountain, October 24th, 2025.
After exiting the Dirty Knobs after 2022’s External Combustion, Sinay has been laser-focused on his solo career. The Mountain, produced by and often co-written with producer Martin Pradler (Ry Cooder, John Mayer, The Black Crowes), is his magnificent first offering of this brave new era. “I was ultimately left feeling like I had more to say, not only as a guitarist, but as a singer and a songwriter,” Sinay admits. “I hit a breaking point on the road.” The period immediately following his Dirty Knobs membership was an extraordinarily difficult one. But it led him to buckle down, and revisit material that had been dormant for years, or decades. This led to the majestic The Mountain— by far the most important solo record he’s made in a long career.
Grand Mercy is a heavily blues based and often psychedelic rock trio from Southern California. The group consists of Evan Hillhouse on drums, Shawn Davis on bass, and Aaron Witzl on guitar and vocals. The band’s influences can be traced back to James Gang, Jeff Buckley, The Black Crowes, Neil Young and many more. Catch them jamming soon!
